In this world, women are celebrated mostly when they are brave, dream-seekers, stands out from the usual, and strong.  I was one of those women who fought for their right, and can definitely live without the help of men. I can do what men can do, why need them?  Then, I became a Christian and got involved in ministry work. I love to serve God, but I came too obsessed in serving to the point of questioning the passion of some Christians, specially the men in the Church.

Then one day, I came to meet a guy who is godly and admired him for his testimony. I decided to keep to myself the growing emotional attraction I have. I tried every way to avoid falling deeper in my affection to him, and prayed to God to remove it from me. But the deceitfulness and depravity of the heart led me to shamelessly confess my feelings. I even initiated conversations with him in spite of many warnings from God through devotion and sermons.

To cut the story short, it did NOT end like the Korean TV series we see that when the women character confesses her love for the man, the love was reciprocated. Yes, you can say, “at least you let him know so that you will not regret not saying it.” But, for a Christian woman who was constantly sanctified by Christ, it was a SHAME.

For Christian women, the Bible’s command is for women to be virtuous and wait upon the Lord. In the Bible, it was always men who initiated. The women who made the first move in the Bible were evil and immoral women. What a great rebuke!

Yes, it broke my heart into pieces and shattered my self-esteem. But what broke me more is the realization that man CAN’T satisfy the joy and unconditional love God has for me. God loves me at my best and definitely at my worst! God chose me first before the foundation of the world.

Sharing this song entitled: WEDDING DAY by Casting Crowns

There’s a stirring in the throne room
And all creation holds it’s breath
Waiting now to see the bride groom
Wondering how the bride will dress
And she wears white
And she knows that she’s undeserving
She bears the shame of history
With this worn and weary maiden
Is not the bride that he sees
And she wears white, head to toe
But only he could make it so
When someone dries your tears
When someone wins your heart
And says your beautiful
When you don’t know you are
And all you’ve longed to see
Is written on his face
When love has come and finally set you free
On that wedding day
On that wedding day
She has danced in golden castles
And she has crawled through beggar’s dust
But today she stands before him
And she wears his righteousness
And she will be who he adores
And this is what he made her for
When someone dries your tears
When someone wins your heart
And says your beautiful
When you don’t know you are
And all you’ve longed to see
Is written on his face
When love has come and finally set you free
On that wedding day
On that wedding day
When the hand that bears the only scars
And heaven touch her face
And the last tears she’ll ever cry
Are finally wiped away
And the clouds roll back as he takes her hand
And walks her through the gates
Forever we will reign
When someone dries your tears
When someone wins your heart
And says your beautiful
When you don’t know you are
And all you’ve longed to see
Is written on his face
When love has come and finally set you free
On that wedding day
On that wedding day
