Please know that I am so proud of you. You’ve chosen God over the one you “love.” I know you are hurting. Those tears attest to that. You have been contemplating about this for so long now. You finally have the courage to break up with him. You finally decided to step out of your comfort zone. You finally decided to place your full focus on God, and for that I am so proud of you.
Let go. Let God. Let grow. You’ve been hurting because you’ve gotten used to holding the reins of your life, but sometimes letting go will be more fruitful than holding on. Trust the process. Trust the Lord God you surrendered your life to. I cannot promise that everything will be okay, but I can only promise that by God’s grace, you will be okay someday.
People are now talking behind your back. I know it is hard because you have been accused of playing the victim when you too are hurting. All I can say is that be strong in the Lord. Be deaf to what they say even though it seems that they are stepping on your broken heart.
God is not yet done with you. As long as you are on God’s side, you are doing well. People may not always understand the ‘why’ on ‘what’ you did, but you do not have to explain anymore. God knows the very secrets of your heart, and that is more important than having the whole world by your side.
You may have loved him, but God loves you more. For now, wait on God. Trust His timetable, His process, and His purpose. Someday, you will be able to tell your story without batting an eye. Someday, you will look at him and feel nothing anymore. Someday, you will learn to love again, but for now, leave it all to God. Someday, you sill be able to move on from this tragedy. Someday, you will know God’s purpose. Remember, when going through the hardships of life instead of asking God ‘why’, ask God ‘what’– What wilt Thou have me to do, Lord?
Do not worry, God is not yet finished in writing your love story.
