Yesterday, during my devotion time I read the book of Psalm 106-109. It tells the story of how God delivered the Israelites from Egypt, from the wilderness and from the desert. But His chosen people disobeyed Him, they’ve done wrong and acted wickedly. They gave no thought on His miracles they did not remember His many kindness and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea. But God saved them for His Name’s sake, to make his mighty power known to all. Then they believed His promises and sang His praises. But they soon forgot what He had done and did not wait for His plan to unfold(Psalm 106:6-9)
There will be a time in our life that we will forget how God saved us from the darkness. We are consumed with temporal things around us that we depend on them to make us happy. We depend on people who made time for us, cared for us and let us feel that we are important. Then when the time comes when you realize that those people and things are not the ones who can satisfy your thirsty soul but only Jesus, yes JESUS the lover of your soul, your redeemer, the One who chose you from the start until the end, the One who can show you the Unconditional love that you’ve been looking for someone.
Psalm 107:28-30 “Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm and He guided them to their desired haven.”
