Letter From My Favorite Author For My Favorite Person

Nicholas Sparks is and will always be my favorite author. His stories are are full of feelings, of pain, of tears, of tragedies, but they’re also full of love, of wisdom, and of hope, too. Sometimes, I’d wish my life was written by Sparks, but like most of his stories, I don’t have that perfect life and love story.

However, there is this one person who made me feel like I was a character in Sparks’ novel, and we’ve watched all movie adaptations of Nicholas’ books. Twelve films after, here I am writing one letter made of quotes collected from all those movies, one letter of how I feel, with words borrowed from my favorite author, for my favorite person.

To my Favorite Person:

[Safe Haven] I’ve had things happen to me in the past, things that still scare me. [The Last Song] We’re not perfect. Any of us. We make mistakes, we screw up but then we forgive and move forward. [Safe Haven] Loss has been a part of my journey. But it has also shown me what is precious. [A Walk To Remember] You know, I was getting along with everything fine. I accepted it, and then you happened!

[Nights in Rodanthe] When he left me, it wasn’t just our relationship ending. It was the loss of all the hopes that I’d had for future. I tried to move on, but the world didn’t seem that interested in me anymore. Then you came along, and helped me believe in myself again.

[Safe Haven] It’s like this, a clean empty canvas. [Dear John] I find myself smiling for no reason at all. [The Vow] And it was the greatest event in my life.

[The Longest Ride] We come from such different worlds but I’ve never felt this way about anybody. [The Last Song] No one has made me feel like you do. I don’t want to lose you.

[The Best Of Me] Someone once said, “it is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves.” But I believe everything that happens, happens for a reason. [The Lucky Ones] Everyone has their own destiny, but not everyone makes a choice to follow it, But I’m lucky I did. [The Choice] Spending time with you showed me what I`ve been missing in my life. [The Notebook] I think our love can do anything we want it to.

[The Notebook] We didn’t agree on much. In fact, we didn’t agree on anything. We fight all the time and challenged each other every day. But despite our differences, we had one important thing in common. We were crazy about each other. [The Vow] I’m so in love with you. It’s insane. [The Choice] I love you. You hear me? I love you. I’ll say it again. I love you. I’ll say it a million times. I love you, I love you, I love you.

[The Notebook] I love you. I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I’ve ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, everyday we are together is the greatest day of my life. I will always be yours. [The Longest Ride] I don’t know what the future holds but I know there is no future without you.

[A Walk To Remember] I’m scared of not being with you. [The Longest Ride] I don’t know how to make this work but I know I want to. [The Notebook] So it’s not gonna be easy. It’s going to be really hard; we’re gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday.

[The Vow] I vow to love you now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is once in a lifetime love. I vow to love you and no matter what challenges may carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other. I vow to help you love life, to speak when words are needed, to share silence when they’re not.

[Dear John] I love you, not just for now, but for always.
