This Is the Sign You’ve Been Waiting for to Let Go

I know the struggle of not wanting to let go of certain things or people because they mean so much to you. Deep inside your heart, you know that it will hurt so bad. The pain throbbing in your chest so wild that you can hardly breathe nor grasp it. You don’t want to let go because you love them. The things that once have a sentimental value to you. The people who are with you through your highs and lows.

It’s a sad thing for them to be reduced to memories in your brain. You thought to yourself how could God would want you to suffer? Don’t let this kind of thoughts suffocate you and stunt your growth. Don’t let the fear of the unknown scare you to reach out for the best things in life.

But you need to let go now, You know that God is urging you to do so. You know that the Holy Spirit is whispering to your soul to end the agony now. There’s always a new day coming and you abandoned the fact that God has a purpose for you and for that one person or one thing that you need to let go of. Their purpose in your life is finished now and it’s time to move on.

You need to let go of that one thing that only adds to the clutter of your life. It may be a favorite shirt that has become old or a mixtape your ex-lover made for your anniversary. You need to stop clinging on to the old things because you deserve something new. You deserve a new dress or polo shirt to wear and you deserve to listen to new music you can dance on.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

 2 Corinthians 4:16-17

Sometimes holding on to the things that we love make us forget that we deserve better. We settle on things that we already have. We convince ourselves that what we already have is the best but God wants to have more. God doesn’t want us settling for less because He made us for a great purpose and equipped us to reach our maximum potential.

You need to let go of that one person who constantly hurts you whether it’s a boyfriend or a best friend. You need to let go of that person who constantly promises but never done it. You need to let go of the past. You need to let go of everything that is hurting you. You need to let go of the work that no longer gives you joy. You need to let go of the past. Because right now you are in the present. So enjoy this moment.

I’ll tell you the things that you don’t need to let go of but you need to open you tightly clutched hands and open your heart. Are you ready? As I say these I hope that it’ll be an exchange. As you exhale may you inhale all the good things that God has given you. May this be a reminder to you.

You don’t have to let go of your dreams especially if you already surrendered it to God. He usually plants those dreams in your heart for a greater purpose. He even gave you the talent and skills or the endless opportunities to pursue it. May God be glorified with your dreams. Think about Manny Pacquiao or Toni Gonzaga. Think bigger and bolder like our amazingly great God.

You don’t have to let go of the people who love you through your highs and lows. Those who encourage, support and cares for you. But you need to know that life gets tough and life get through all of us. A mistake or two committed by them to you. I know it hurts but all they need is grace. Don’t let them go because they are your family. Whether blood family or church family because no family is perfect.

Lastly but not the least, in fact, the most important thing of all- I pray that you’ll never let go of God promises and love for you. No matter how hard life is and how far you have come. May you always hold on to it tightly. Cling to it for dear life. Because he is the truth, the way, and the life. Nothing ever is more precious than his love and him alone. No matter what the season is. He is always there for you and making all things new for you. So don’t let him go. He is the one thing that you will need to grow and move on past all these. Remember with God you can dream wildly, love deeply and reach your maximum potential.

Don’t you think you deserve the best especially from the creator himself?

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.

John 15:5
