To my future husband

Is your heart doing okay?

I hope you like eating different kinds of food. I like cooking and I also have a scientist in me who likes to experiment with different ingredients. I’m pretty sure we’ll both like them. Or not. Haha. Either way, know that I have love in my heart when preparing food for you, even when it comes out too salty or too sweet.

I like to watch the sun rise but I prefer sunsets because I get cold too fast. But I wouldn’t mind if you would hold me close.

I also like looking at the stars and the moon. I cannot wait and geek out about where Sirius and Bellatrix are. I just love staring at the sky because it is a constant reminder of God’s love for us.

Do you like dogs? I hope you love them because we’ll be getting two. Minimum. Of course, I will let you lead. But I guess I just have to convince you.

All my friends know that I love cooking, sunsets, moon, stars and dogs. But you will know even the subtle little things that I like because God will give you access to my heart by looking through my eyes.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a car. I love long walks and conversations.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t have properties. We’ll pray for them and build them together.

It doesn’t matter if you’re out of tune, we’ll still sing praises together.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to dance. I don’t think dancing in the rain requires awesome dance moves.

I know that you have plans for the future. I will support you because I know you wrote them together with the Author of life.

It will be hard to pursue me. I have stone walls surrounding my heart which was broken by men trying to be you. Don’t worry, it is constantly made whole by God. It will be hard to pursue me but you will, nonetheless. Thank you for realizing I am God’s beloved daughter worthy of being pursued. Thank you for not giving up.

Until then, I will pray for you. I will pray that you will pursue God first because that’s what I will do. We’ll first walk on different paths but in God’s perfect time, we’ll meet at the cross road.

Thank you for doing it right.

I hope your heart is doing okay.

Love,

Your future wife
