You might have felt invisible all these years, that for some reason, you have always been overlooked.
Boys walk past through you like you weren’t even there. Sometimes they think twice, but regret it afterwards.
You got used to being the best friend, or the thirdwheel, and sometimes, you get friendzoned because they just don’t feel that way towards you, too.
And it seems like you never like any of those who like you, while those who you like never likes you back.
Sometimes, outside your romantic daydreams, you are also overlooked at work or at school, or even at home. You somehow feel underrated, thinking that it’s just how it is.
You ask yourself, “Am I not beautiful enough? Am I not smart enough? Am I not worthy to be loved?”
Sometimes, you think, “I hope I get chosen next time.”
You get used to the feeling of being overlooked, anytime, anywhere. You get used to the pain, that it has become your normal.
Then you believe in the lie your situation tells you. You believe, somehow, that you aren’t worth it.
But today, let me remind you of your worth.
Let me remind you that you should not settle in the same pain you have been feeling for a long time now.
You are not overlooked. Take it as you are covered.
You are covered by the Blood of your Savior, Jesus Christ.
And it has protected you all these years from all the heart breaks and rejections that would have come your way. Imagine God protecting you from the wrong guys.
Take it as a blessing.
You have been blessed to not get the promotion or your dream job because you are worth so much more than that. And God has something better in mind.
Take it as His grace.
It is His grace that reminds you to work harder. And remember that it is also His grace allows you to do better. Therefore, work with Him, and work in His grace.
Take it as His way for you to get His gifts.
Maybe you are not seen yet because God has bigger plans for you. God wants you to grow. He allows you to feel these rejection, heartbreak, pain because He wants you to wait on His promise. He promises that you will propsper. He wants you to let them go, so His gifts can take their place in your heart and in your life.
Today, boys might walk past through you, but a Godly man will be led to you. And he will only choose you because God said so. One day, you will find the perfect job for you that will bless you and your family. One day, you will be better.
I want you to hold on to the hope that your “normal” will be a part of your past. Your pain will turn into joy. Your heartbreak will turn into love.
Declare breakthrough, my dear woman. You are not overlooked. You are beautiful. You are wise. You are covered by the blood of Jesus. You are a work in progress. You are worth it. You are loved.
Get ready to shine for God!
In Jesus’ Name!
