Dear, Honorable Woman

Max Lucado once said, “A woman’s heart should be so hidden in God that a man has to seek Him just to find her.” Your job is to hide your heart in the Lord by delighting in Him and treasuring Him above all else. Let the man finds and pursues you through following Christ and enjoying His presence every day of his life.

Remember that;

You are loved, loved by an Almighty Being.

You don’t need to search for a guy just to know you’re worthy to be loved. Whenever you look at the mirror and see nothing to yourself loving for and you think that no one loves you, remember that someone beyond your visible eyes sees you like the first glance of the sun.

You are beautiful.

You are wonderfully made by God (Psalm 139:14) and the apple of the eye of the Maker of the Universe (Psalm 17:8). You don’t need to show off half of your body just to tell everyone that you’re one of a kind. “Your beauty should not only come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within” (1 Peter 3:3-4). You has a smile as bright as the sunrise with eyes sparkling brilliant as the stars in the night sky. Your beauty is simply amazing with only all of His Creation to compare with.

You are a masterpiece-a woman.

You are detailed in every part; formed by the infallible hand of the LORD. Never had He made a mistake while creating you nor are you an accident that popped-out in the mind of Lord. You are not a random thought. You are planned, desired, calculated, and dreamed by the greatest Engineer of the universe.

You are a princess of God, the daughter of the Living King.

So do not let men break your heart. Do not shout to everyone your emotions. Often times, you ought to have a privacy. You’re chosen, royal blood is flowing in your body, and a God’s own possession (1 Peter 2:9). “Clothe yourself with strength and dignity, and laugh without fear of the future. Speak with wisdom and give instructions with kindness” (Proverbs 31:25-26). Be like Hannah, who eagerly prays (1 Samuel 1:9-28), faithful like Ruth (See the book of Ruth), strong as Esther (See the book of Esther) and an encourager like Eunice and Lois (2 Timothy 1:5).

God searched and saved you.

You are worth pursuing. Don’t respond with a rapid yes to a little amount of time of courtship just because of his looks and flowery words. Discipline and mark to yourself that you are a worth pursuing woman- like oasis in the desert. You are like an unsearched treasure in the middle of the sea in a remote island so let men exert an effort before getting you. You are priceless, don’t forget that. In addition to that, “as men”, my friend once said, “we want to pursue someone who knows her real worth, this makes her worth pursuing”.

You are an honorable woman.

You are a precious one in the eyes of Christ; appear and show to them that you are worthy of respect. Do not give any man a way to disrespect you. Do not let men drag you down. Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity (1 Timothy 4:12). Stay humble and be constantly aware of pride, self-centeredness, and schemes of the enemy. Remember that, gracious woman gains respect (Proverbs 11:16).

God has a great plan for you.

An unknown future: husband, children, richness, etc. Everything, it might be everything you desire. For He knows the plans he has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Remember to;

Invest in that which lasts.

Satisfy yourself in God and focus your attention on honouring your Maker with your heart exploding to give glory at the sight of the beautiful nature He created for you. Treasure the unfathomable love, wondrous grace, and unending faithfulness of God before anything else. Delight your ways in Him and be expectant that He will grant the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). Value your Maker more than the product itself. Savour the most beautiful things which only God can give-Himself.

Wait for your warrior.

There is a man who will fight for your honor; a man of the Word with a big faith, not only big muscles; a man who has dreams for his life and knows his purpose which is to glorify the Lord until his last breath. There’s a man who will save your heart from breaking. There will be someone who will see you as the apple of his eyes. So wait for His right man–a man who has standards and conviction that he consistently follows. A man who knows his priorities and what he stands for. And a man making Jesus his utmost desire by treasuring Him more than diamonds.

You may look at your mirror and see flaws on your face, but Someone from above and someone here on earth will look at you and only see beauty, so don’t try to be something you are not. Reject the lie that anything or anyone else can satisfy you because only Jesus can fill the emptiness in your heart. Don’t fall to a boy who can’t pay attention but wait for a man with a real intention. Always trust Him. Hide your heart to the bottom of His dwelling presence.
