Lying on my bed in a cold midnight, staring at that blank ceiling, letting my imaginations fly beyond, all I ever wanted is to gently sleep while listening to my favorite worship playlists.
Then I found myself in the middle of so much thoughts about all my frustrations in life. I was reminded of how tough my life is going through. There’s too much pain from the past that I wished could be gone just by a twinkling of an eye. There’s too much of what if’s, but’s and why’s. My mind was just occupied of too much in everything. Too much thoughts, too much frustrations. And I asked myself “what should I do?”, “where shall I go?”.
Suddenly, I was reminded of how God had been so faithful even if I failed and disappointed him so many times. I am mess, totally undeserving of everything. Yet, from all those frustrations, God wants me to realize that his grace is greater, his mercy is deeper and his love covers a multitude of sins.
Frustrations lead us to destructions. Destructions that the enemy cause for us to fall apart and forget that Jesus has conquered it all for us to be confident of facing every heartbreaks, every pain, every disappointment, every failures. For as the scriptures says, “in this world we may have troubles but behold because Jesus himself have overcome it”(John 16:33). So remind yourself that behind every frustrations there is a greater one who will uphold you and lift you up. Jesus is an overcomer so are you!
Frustrations leads us to destruction of what God had planned for us. Jeremiah 29:11 said that God has a beautiful plan for each of us. A plan to prosper us and not to harm us. A plan to give us a hope and a future. Those promises are like a honey, very sweet to ears and stikes down to the deepest of our hearts. A reminder of how dearly God had crafted us and had planned everything to be beautiful. But once we let our frustrations butt in between what God had planned unclear path will start. We will be like our ancestors who wandered in the wilderness for forty years until they reached their promised land. And God don’t want us to forever wander in the wilderness. He wants us to stay connected with him as he leads the path to the clearer view of the vision that we have, he leads the clearest path going to our own promise land. All you have to do is trust him fully and obey what he says. Trust in Him alone and not on yourself or the people around you. As what Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight”. With you trusting and obeying God, frustrations will not have a room to make all God’s plan not succeed.
Frustrations leads every person to loosing of faith, hope and trust in his creator and Saviour. Yet, God will not let us totally shrink deeply and forget the reason why he let his only Son died on the cross. All of it was for you, for me, for all humanity. You should remind yourself right now that Jesus is more than every frustrations that you have. You should remind yourself right now that no matter how terrible you think you are, in God’s eyes you are precious, more precious than jewels (Prov 3:15). So get up now dearly loved child, never loose your faith in the one who gives and takes away life. There is so much of good things in stored for you in the future as you faithfully walk with Him in the paths of righteousness. And as you walk with him wearing his full armor (Ephesians 6:10-18), don’t be anxious but rejoice with the Lord always. All your anxieties, troubles and frustrations surrender it all unto Him.
Everyone of us grows weak, tired and weary but put your hope in the Lord for he will renew your strength and you will soar like eagles where you will never be tired again and will never faint (Isaiah 40:31).
As you slowly close your eyes, listening to that melody may those frustrations be gone like the wind. Deeply soaked yourself in the presence of the Lord for a day in his temple is so much better than a thousand elsewhere. Seek him and you will find him. And as you find him, you will find the greatest treasure, a treasure more valuable than anything else in this world. So go on beloved, lift your head up high, be brave and do not loose hope for in God’s appointed time everything will just be beautiful. Trust Him, obey Him and put your hope in Him alone. ❤
