I know it is tiring to count days, weeks, months, and even years. There are times when we find ourselves asking, “How long should I still wait?”, “Is there still a hope for me?”, and “Am I going to spend the rest of my life alone?”
These questions together with the uncertainties of this world bring doubt to the hope that is in our hearts. Some says time is ticking and we should confirm with the timelines set by most people. Because of this, we tend to be stressed and obsessed in finding the right partners for us which most of the time lead to failed relationships. And these failed relationships crush the little hope that is left within us.
It was like an earthquake after a great storm. But you know what, there is still beauty in every disaster. And God is making you wait for a reason.
Maybe you won’t understand it now, but later you will. God is preparing you for something better. He is making your heart rest for it to become stronger. He is making you stronger, day by day.
There is joy in waiting. He calms your heart and mind for them to make intelligent decisions and not to act on impulse.
God is making you grow while waiting. Maybe you don’t feel or see it, but you are growing and glowing. That promotion which you had few months ago? It’s part of His plan. New hobby? It’s part of His plan. The new business that you are putting up? It is part of His plan. He wants you to grow individually and to be the best version of yourself.
And when the time is right, God will make it happen. He will lead you to the one whom your soul will love and whom your heart will find peace with. No more overthinking and paranoia. Just love that calms, assures, and lasts.
