(In)complete

“You complete me,” they say.

It sounds good and flattering to know that you are someone’s completion and to know that you are the part that is finally found. Well, if you think that way, you are probably overthinking. It sounds good yet it is misleading.

Don’t expect someone who is also lacking to complete you because we all need fulfilling. Don’t expect someone who is also broken to fix you because we all need fixing. Expect from the One who has everything that you need. Go back to your Creator first. Go back to the One who made you because He knows exactly where to fix you. He is the only One who can make you whole again.

By then, when you are now the best version of yourself, the one that God has promised you to be with, will come on your way. Eventually, that person will come into your life to just compliment you, not to complete you.
We all want TO HAVE the best one for us, yet will it be more wonderful TO BE the best for the one who is for us?
