Today, I’m Choosing To Let Go

Letting go is one of the hardest things for me to do. I’m the kind of person who will choose to hold to things and invest my all in them. Investing time, effort, and even emotions are all my thing. But I came to a point in my life where God told me to let go of the things I have invested my whole being to. I needed to let go of the things and people I am used to holding on to. I needed to let them go because God wants me to.

Letting go is never easy. But God won’t let us do it for no reason. It’s either we need to let go because it is already causing us too much pain, or because it is no longer for us to hold but of somebody else.
First, we need to let go because it is already causing us too much pain.
They said, in love, you should be ready to be hurt. Yes, that’s true. But love is also kind. It won’t allow us to hold on to things too much, especially if it is causing us to hurt ourselves and others all the more. And yes, it’s hard to let go of things or people that had been part of your system, plans, and even future. But, please do know that you are dear in God’s eyes and He wants you to see your worth in Him. He doesn’t want you to stay in a situation that is too hard for you to bear. He wants you to see that He has greater plans for your life, and if letting go is the only way for you to see it, so be it.
Second, we need to let go because it is no longer for us to hold.
I’ve also been in a situation where God told me to let go of the things that I am already used to do for so many years because it is no longer for me to hold but of somebody else. It wasn’t easy, it is never easy. But I learned the art of letting go because I have seen that others may also take hold of it greater and differently on how I held on to it. My time to hold on to that thing is already done and I need to entrust them to other people already. Of course, God won’t leave you empty. Please do know that there is a purpose behind every closed door. Please do know that God is planning greater things for you and He wants your full attention on it.
Dear, it may be hard, but ask for a strong and brave heart. Ask God to open your heart, mind, and even your eyes to see the great things He has in store for you. It’s a decision to make, and I tell you, you won’t regret following God’s will for your life.
