I thank God it was you but I need to say my last “BYE”, not just for my own sake but for both of us.
Thank you for everything, I’ll cherish all those good memories we built together, I’ve learned so much from us. I thank God it was you.
Thank you for everything. Now I’m choosing to forgive myself and to learn to love myself again. You never gave me assurance and security yet thank you for that, I’ve learned to see my worth now, that my assurance and security will only be found in my Sweet Savior Jesus.
So tonight, as I unfold the memories that we had shared, I’m seeing you as a man I’m praying for, seeing you again for all the right things that you did and not the mistakes that you’ve done.

Thank you for being you and being real, proving that love is not a fantasy but a reality.
Thank you for all the memories we made together.
Thank you for the pain that you’ve given me because I’ve learned to give second chances to myself the way God has given us.
Yet I thank God it was you because I’ve learned to wait more patiently and purely.
I thank God it was you because I’ve learned that love should not be based on emotions but on a commitment.
I thank God it was you because I’ve learned to love selflessly, just as how Jesus did for us.
I thank God it was you because I’ve learned to be more faithful to my covenant.
I thank God it was you because I’ve learned to be more patient and not just to rush things but to wait for His beautiful time (Ecc. 3:11)
I thank God it was you because I’ve learned to value my purity.
I thank God it was you because I’ve learned to value myself.

Thank you for leaving me and for letting me go ’cause that moment I’ve found myself crying at my Savior’s feet, thank you that you left me ’cause I went back to my First Love, Jesus.
