Far From Your Hug

Our age may be pursuing each other, for it has a big gap. Not only 5years, but 9. It looks like it’s hard to handle, but I proudly can say it’s not. With your attitude, gestures, actions, and words, and most of all, your emotions towards me, really placed a string in my heart that connects us together. Though we are 7,000km away from each other, it’s nothing for our hearts beats together as if they are not distant.

Sometimes, our topics can be slight parallel; I can’t understand some of our concerns about your work, but I’m doing my best to get every bit of it. Same goes with you, when I tell a story about my school. It might be a little hard to catch up, for you have been working for 5years now.

Age is just a number they say. But my guardians are more like a wall to us that kept on apart from each other. According to them, our age doesn’t match. But by the Grace of God, it shows that our love is pure and our intentions are clear. God made a way and it allowed us to continue our journey.

As we abide our trek, struggles and misunderstanding entered. I somehow observed that we are matured enough for each other to get through that storm. With the help of the Holy Spirit and God’s love. We continued as if nothing happened.

It hurts to know that your age is enough for you to marry somebody and I can have no interruptions with that. (I kept on overthinking about this, and crying every night, thinking that someone might make you feel love more than the love that we share). On the other hand, you promised me that we, together will wait for this season to end. We told each other how much we want to see our future together. And I love it that way.

It’s not easy to be with someone who ages as your brother. But it’s easy to love and understand each other when you both are on the shadow of the Lord.

We may be physically far from each other, but let me assure you, our souls linger with each other and we are still under the same sky.

Guard my life, for I am faithful to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God; Psalm 86:2
