We live in a cruel and harsh world; every day seems to be a never-ending battle for each one of us.

We often find ourselves finding solace in the things around us.

Blasting Our favorite songs or binge-watch a Netflix series, then slip unnoticed in the bathroom to cry.

Either you get drunk with alcohol to numb your aching heart.

Smoke your pain away with a pack of cigarettes.

Walk outside the pouring rain in the middle of the night looking for someone to hold you.

Fall in love quickly with someone not to be lonely.

Be filled with pure unadulterated anger and hatred that you can’t breathe.

Surely, you’ve experienced all of this at some point in your life.

We all have different ways of coping with life and the struggles that we face every day. Despite the painful reality, we often think that the very things or people that we cling to are our salvation. It saves us from the brink of insanity and pain; no matter how strong we can be, we’re bound to break.

Yes, there I said it, we’re bound to break, crash and burn because we’re humans. We’re not perfect, and nobody is, but despite our shortcomings and flaws, God’s love for his creation is pure and strong.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Romans 3:23

Salvation, a beautiful and powerful world, a great display of sacrifice God did to save us, humans.

The emptiness, sadness, and darkness that we feel can’t fill the void in us. We’re all fragile and in need of a savior like a damsel in distress in a fairytale story. But what God has given us is real, and it’s one of the greatest love stories.

If you’re struggling right now and can’t seem to find the light nor your purpose in life, take heart, for you’re a child of God, and you’re saved!

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what the will of God is, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:2

My salvation came to me unexpectedly in ways I couldn’t imagine. I wrestled with my demons and pain relentlessly for years like Sarah or Esther.

I did my best to remain faithful, but as an imperfect person, I stumbled and fall. But I always remained that young girl who looked up the skies and silently prayed with all her heart.

My salvation came to me like the song of Gabrielle Aplin:

I never meant to fall for you,

but I was buried underneath and

All that I could see was white

My salvation

My, my

I hoped and prayed for peace, and when it did come, it was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I am saved, and it’s all because of his never-ending love and grace.

My salvation from Jesus Christ did save me from further destruction caused by vices and impulsive decisions in life. My salvation helped me grow and be more mature and see the world from a different perspective and focus my eyes on the things above.

It wasn’t an easy journey to turn things around and surrender everything.

I must admit being a Christian, it’s still is a never-ending battle, but I rest in the fact that I’m no longer fighting a battle alone and in vain, for I know I have a God that is with and for me.

If you’re still lost and wondering when you will ever be found, I would like to tell you that God is always looking out for you. His love and grace are so profound that no earthly thing or person can do what he did years ago for you at the cross.

Child of God, take up your shield and armor, know who you are in this world and accept the gift of life he gave you! Let us fight the battle with all our hearts, souls, and minds resting in Christ’s love for us.

We’re already free, and our God gave us a spirit of courage and light.

Break free from the darkness, for you are already saved!

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

Luke 19:10
