Drowning

Looking into those deep dark eyes,
I thought I’d drown for holding my breath.

In an instant I remembered to grasp some air
because I shouldn’t be drowning.

I need to swim until I am in the surface,
Far away to keep myself from falling down
to your abyss where there is nothing.
