I don’t think there is such thing as “I am not yet ready” when being ask about love. I think the right phrase is “I don’t want to be in a relationship.” That sounds reasonable and logical. People tend to deviate their answers just to sound angelic. No, it doesn’t help. Entering a relationship is not like choosing a course or profession in which you have specific subjects and standards that you need to accomplish.

On the other hand, relationships don’t work that way. There is no school or course that will make you a hundred percent ready when committing into a relationship. Flaws, immaturity, problems, history, it will always prevail in every relationship. It is a work in progress, a room for improvement, a beautiful disaster. Entering a relationship doesn’t mean that you are perfectly ready. No, you just have to anticipate everything, that’s all. Remember, no relationship is the same. You can’t be ready by just observing or learning from someone’s relationship. No one’s going to be ready. You just have to risk and trust the process.
