In The Midst Of The Process

Do you remember when you take that first courageous step? When you left all the fears and uncertainties and took the road towards your heart’s given desire, towards what He has called you to be? From that humble act of surrender, you have seen how He had lead you up to where you are currently. You have seen His providence, comfort, guidance – miracles.

I know you’re getting tired of this seemingly endless wilderness. You are getting a little impatient and anxious.

“Lord, how long do I have to wait?”

“Is there really something that I am actually waiting for?”

“You should have not given me hope in the first place if You will not give it to me anyway.”

Oh, dear. Yes, some days are hard. Some days are full of pressure. Some days feel like He is not listening. But don’t ever think that He has abandoned you. Because He will never do.

Maybe this isn’t the time for what you are asking for, because this season is meant for something more. More than the satisfaction your dream, a relationship, the temporary things, can ever give, He wants you to be satisfied with Him. He wants to let you know that He is way more beautiful than the things you’ve been longing for. More than the passing things your are asking, He wants to give you things even greater and lasting: patience, faith, intimacy, and growth.

Trust that the more you realize that Jesus is everything you need, with enduring fulfillment and contentment in your heart, you will be able to handle better the grace He is yet to provide. With God being first, you will be a good steward of that dream, passion, relationship – all that He has promised you.

“Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.” (Joshua 23:14, NIV)

Just as God has never failed His people, the Israelites, so will He be to you, His dear child. He is a never changing God who is faithful to His Words.

You may not see nor understand it now, but He is preparing you for what you are praying for (or even better), that you may use those for His glory. So wild heart, be still. Don’t be too focused on the ending that you might miss the wonderful things along the journey. Appreciate the process. Pat your back for every little progress. Believe that He will lead you to the land He has promised. Trust that He is faithful even in the wilderness.

There is always joy in the journey. The process is always purposeful.

Patience is not just simply waiting, but it speaks more about your attitude while you wait. The wilderness may seem long and the way may be full of uncertainty, but it is a beautiful place where God’s provision, protection, and unending grace is evident. It is a place where you are being molded, shaped, and even sifted, to be the person He has called you to be. So favored one, keep the faith, pray, and seek Him fervently. Make use of this season, for His glory.

“You will get there, and believe me, when you get there, you’ll be glad you took your time.” (Lang Leav)
