I know how it feels. I know how it feels when your relatives start asking you questions about how soon you’d like to settle down. I can relate to how you feel right now. Trust me, I do.

I was already in my late 20s when I ended a rather long relationship which I thought would end up in marriage. I was too busy mending my broken heart when I realized I am not getting any younger. My family would tease me about my egg cells expiring and I may not be able to conceive anymore if I marry late.
Vintage. Old maid. Antique. Cougar. Spinster. Name it, I’ve heard it all. But I stayed single. Why? Because marrying for the wrong reason is the biggest mistake you’d probably make. You can’t marry because of pressure. You can’t marry due to public demand. And just because it’s the trend, you can’t marry just like that.
Marriage is a lifetime commitment. Once you get inside it, there is no turning back. As my mother would always say, a life sentence. Oh, I think that’s funny.
Pray and wait for the day when you hear God say, “Here is the one I have created for you.” Because that’s when you can marry. By then you can say that the waiting was worth it. He will give you the best. A godly person. Someone who loves God more than anyone else. It is the most beautiful thing that there is.
Never rush. Never run after a full bus when you can wait for the next one and sit comfortably. As what they would say, “Di bale na kung last trip, importante naka-front seat ka”. Let God be the driver of your bus. You will surely be directed to the right path and to the right person. 😉
