The story begins in the lush, beautiful Garden of Eden; you’ve probably heard this story many times that the effect of this story seems tiring to you.

The book of Genesis is where it all began the fall of man and everything good, but it is still beautiful despite the chaos in that story.

Genesis is not just the story of destruction but creation, ideas, and passion.

While you are busy reading this article, try mo rin makinig sa episode namin:

It’s the story of how God created and spoke life and made everything that we come to know today the earth, skies, animals, the essence of humanity.

It’s the time when God entrusted Adam to take care of everything that is on earth. The question is, are you doing your part?

The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.- Genesis 2:15

Are we celebrating World Earth’s Day to say that we’re doing something?

Are you concerned enough to make a difference?

Are you just a fan of taking photos in natural landscapes and wonders for the gram?

Do you worry about climate change?

You shall not pollute the land in which you live, for blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of the one who shed it. You shall not defile the land in which you live, in the midst of which I dwell, for I the Lord dwell in the midst of the people of Israel.”- Numbers 35:33-34

Yes, I know we’re humans and that we’re bound for death, destruction, and disdain. But don’t you see the power of salvation?

Despite the chaos that we have caused, there’s still moments of faith, a chance to redeem what has been lost.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.- John 3:16

God is a magnificent creator; he has made everything beautiful- look at the skies, look at the wonders of the world- look at the mysteries we couldn’t unfold and fathom.

He has the power to redeem what is broken and dipped in darkness, but we have to do our part. We have to move and meet him where he is. We can find him in the bits and pieces of his creations, the wind, oceans, flowers in the eyes of your pet.

As humans, we’re made out of love and specific details; our birth is a part of the creation, and how we honor our bodies and our surroundings, we also honor God along with his other designs.

All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.- John 1:3

Does it mean that we have to join nonprofit organizations supporting environmental change? Or perhaps raise awareness of sustainability?

Does it mean that you have to be conscious of how you live your life? Educate yourself everything on having a zero-waste yet eco-friendly lifestyle?

Yes, do everything in your power to make a change, protect and foster growth. Yes, go back to what God has told us to do aside from loving ourselves and one another. Go back to the root and dig deep into the story.

We’re still a work in progress, and there’s plenty of opportunities for us to bloom.

The story of Genesis is not some kind of folktale or myth, and you can see for yourself the glory, wonder, and proof of God’s creation right before your eyes.

Don’t just stand there and watch the earth wither away from our hands. Let us do something about it while we can since how we treat our environment reflects who we are.

Every beautiful thing that we see from the trees to animals shows God’s unfathomable, awe-inspiring majesty.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.- Colossians 1:15-16
