I have a confession to make.
I was grateful because I have met someone like you. We may not be friends at first, pero alam mo? Noon pa man napansin na kita.
Di ko intensyong makilala ka pa pero pinaglapit tayo ng panahon. When I met you, I was chasing the wrong person at that time.
Sa kahahabol ko sa iba, nakalimutan ko ang sarili ko hanggang sa dumating ka na di ko hiningi sa panahon na maging malapit tayo sa isa’t-isa. God gave me you to stood by me through my heartaches, to be my shoulder to lean on, to find myself all over. We enjoyed each other’s company but valid situations made us apart later on. However, hindi naman nawala ang connection natin.
For now, we are distant to each other literally. Nasa North ka, nasa South ako pero alam mo ba na kahit ganun, tinanggap ko. Marami akong pagkakataon na makasama ka pero pinili kong pakawalan yun because I chose myself. Natakot ako para sa sarili ko. Paano kapag nasaktan ako muli?
I don’t want to lose you as my dearest friend, and a trusted confidante. Alam kong masaya ka para sa akin dahil unting-unti ko nang natutunang mahalin ulit ang sarili ko. I would like to build myself first before anything else. Kung hindi man ikaw ang makatuluyan ko, at least I learned from you pero kung ibibigay ka pa rin ni Lord sa akin, sana pareho tayong ready at sigurado.
In the meantime, I’ll keep this feeling as a motivation because I will remember na minsan, may isang tao na nagpa-realize sa akin that I am still appreciated and loved and that was one of the best highlights in my life. Yun naman ang importante, di ba? Maging tayo man o hindi sa huli, nandito ako.
Kung nababasa mo ito, sana naiintindihan mo. You will always be a lesson and a blessing for me.
