Like everyone else, you are living in a world full of standards for beauty, intelligence, career and relationships. We face the bars set by the society towards skin color, body shapes, grades at school, work experience and so much more. Naturally, we strive to be accepted, be it in that school you like, to that dream job or company or by the person you fancy the most. “Maybe, I am not good enough”, you uttered. But let me tell you; in a world full of unmet expectations and unreciprocated feelings, believe me or not, you are still deserving of happiness.
Your hands are rough. Your face and body are not like of a model’s. Your sense of fashion does not make heads turn. You can’t afford a lavish meal nor weekend getaway. Your bank account does not have a lot of zeroes and comas. Your wallet, a collection of receipts. You render overtimes, gets caught in traffic jams everyday, sleeps less and wakes up to a lot of questions on your head.
Maybe, you have been branded with unsuccessful relationships due to your weird personality, average beauty or humble worldly possessions. Your value must have been a questionable thing every now and then. But if you think that fitting in is something you must need in order to be accepted, please don’t.
Why take the shape of others if you can stride and shine in your own unique form? You are a lovely mix of softness and strength. You are a protagonist of your own story, a warrior of your own kingdom. No matter how different you are from the rest of the world, stay calm and trust the process. Someday, someone will see you as their greatest find. Those flaws and quirks you hate the most will be gold to the right person. All you have to do is to be just you.
It may not make sense now, but someday, you will understand. That you have been purposively molded into a person that will complete someone out there. Maybe, you need to get through a lot of mess and pain before you find your worth, your calling. But after bearing what you thought are unbearable, you will appreciate the need to undergo such process. To you, who’s reading this, i wish you’d find acceptance from within, discover happiness and be a living proof of love and success. Do your best in life. Trust the process. Trust His plans. You are imperfect but you are both worthy and worth it.
