a balete tree near the lazi convent, siquijor

is pen mightier than sword?
i believe so but
a mustard seed of faith is the mightiest of all
a pen can send love to another country
a pen can also start a war
a sword can cut a rope that binds you
a sword can also cut you in half

not everyone is able to write
and not everyone has the stomach to kill
but a mustard seed of faith planted in prayer and faith
can change the speakers’ and killers’ hearts

a mustard seed of faith is the smallest
but
a mustard seed of faith can reach out to the Author and Creator of all
the Alpha and the Omega
a mustard seed of faith when aligned accordingly to His will, and blessed by Him
can end wars, stop death, cut pain, conquer sickness and disorders,
withdraw calamities
faster than before the ink spits out from the ball pen
faster than before the blade lashes through a skin

but sometimes
sometimes our planted mustard seed of faith may never grow
His desires and plans are going to grow no matter what
because as long as we are here on earth
there are going to be wars, deaths, sufferings, disorders, and calamities
His glorious plans are always going to pass

what to do with the hidden mustard seed of faith
still, hope and wait for it to grow
for we can still plant more mustard seeds of faith in His borderless garden
where hope, strength, joy, patience, healing, redemption, grace, and love
can grow which the pen and sword can not do

luke 17: 5-6 (nasb)

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
And the Lord said,
“If you [a]had faith like a mustard seed,
you would say to this mulberry tree,
‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’;
and it would
[b]obey you.
