Self-love

People may not knock on your door with their hands bringing affliction to anyone whom they can find. But they might slip hatred and grudges under your door, disguised as fliers like somehow they cherry-picked you but truly they just want to hand you what they’re hiding beneath because perhaps they find pleasure in seeing someone suffer. You might vaguely welcome them, they might enter your house bringing defeat and bitterness.

So please always guard your heart from anything. We have the freedom to get what we want, to whom we will accept, but we can’t control the consequences thereafter. Oftentimes, emotions may compromise our judgments, don’t rely mostly from it.

Set standards that will secure you and importantly your mental health, but not to the point of building walls where no one can match. It is not necessary to close our eyes to dream—neither do our hearts to love ourselves. You can still care for someone while being thoughtful of your whole being. Always keep that self-love, and if you find yourself in the fine line between cynicism and selflessness, you’re body will subconsciously go to what is right because of that wisdom you always have in your mind.
