People will always leave, but it does not mean it is your fault.
People leave for what they think is for the better. They leave for what they think is the next best thing, they leave for what they feel is so much better. They leave because they think leaving is the only way out, that it is the one and only last choice.
The way they turn their back and walk out, the way they stood up from sitting right next to you and drove fast away, the way they released your hands from that grip you thought would last until the end of time, the way they told you that they cannot be there anymore and they cannot hold on any further. The way they left may be forever remembered by your heart, it may stay and scar there for your lifetime.

But however, do not hate them. Do not resent or regret them. Instead, cherish the lessons they taught you, from the smallest to the hardest tough lessons they help you to learn.
If they left because they are not ready to receive the love you are trying to give away, if they leave because they are not yet ready to value and appreciate you, let them leave and never hope for them to come back running.
Remember that you have a different path to take and they are no longer included in it. They are no longer part of it. Their chapters are done, their endings have come. Keep in mind that there will be times that you have to let them go simply because their story in your life is over and no matter how much you want to prolong their stay, no matter how much you want to lenghten their existence, you have to accept the fact that it cannot be. But however, thank them. Thank them for all the sleepless nights that made you feel that breathing under the warm blanket in the middle of night were one of the most wonderful things of being alive, thank them for all the things that made you appreciate the simplicity of life, thank them for all the burning passion and self discoveries that made you realize how capable you are of doing things you thought you cannot do, thank them for all those times they let you feel that magic do exists. But if they decided to leave, let them leave and never hope for them to return.
Simply, they are the ones who are meant to get away. They are the ones who are known to be the temporaries.
Because the right ones will fight whatever the cost just to stay. The right ones will never excuse this “not the right time” thing because they are the ones who knows that being the right one is not about the time, it is about choice. A choice you have to make every morning, a choice you have to tell yourself over and over again, a choice that themselves will never get tired of, the choice that they will keep for the rest of their lives because one thing is certain, one thing is sure, that it is you whom they want to spend the rest of their days with, it is you that they see themselves growing old with, it is you that they see the future and live with it. It is you and absolutely not anybody else.
So to all those who left, to all those whose story in your life is over, to all those who chose not to stay, let them leave. Let them go and wish them well. Wish them the genuineness of love and happiness.
Without them leaving, you will never understand the value of strength, the power of believing that there are always a beautiful reasons for every endings, that endings are not frightful, but instead it will open your eyes to the realization that sometimes endings have to happen so beautiful beginnings will have to take place.
