As I listened to Ps. Steven Furtick’s sermon about NEW NORMAL, sobrang napaisip ako na oo nga ‘no? Israelites have been captive and servants in the land of Egypt for 430 years and they find it NORMAL.

While you are busy reading this article, try mo rin makinig sa episode namin:

They were thinking and living that way for 430 years so it became normal sa kanila. Because in Egypt, they have food and shelter at ayos na sa kanila yun kahit ALIPIN lang sila. Naging kontento na sila sa ganun.

“If only the Lord had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned. “There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.”Exodus 16:3 NLT

Sa sitwasyon natin, minsan andami nating reklamo at umaasang makakabalik sa dating NORMAL pero what if this time is our time in wilderness? What if God is just preparing us para makarating sa PROMISE LAND? What if it will take years of patience and testings para makarating doon? Andaming “what if’s” pero even if ganung nga, magpapatuloy parin ba tayo sa pag titiwala sa Diyos?

Then Aaron took the gold, melted it down, and molded it into the shape of a calf. When the people saw it, they exclaimed, “O Israel, these are the gods who brought you out of the land of Egypt!” -Exodus 32:4 NLT

Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset. –Exodus 17:12 NLT

Surrender every worry, fear and doubt. Trust in Him kasi Siya lang ang may alam sa lahat. In Him we have security and peace. We can trust Him in season or out of season. We can rely on Him all the time.

God is faithful and all He wanted is to be with us.
Let’s walk with HIM.
No one ever cared for us like Jesus!
His love is unconditional. We can call upon His name anytime!

for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” – Romans 10:13 NIV

He will provide everything that we need.

Maybe in the wilderness people of Israel suffered hunger and thirst but don’t forget that also in the wilderness they experienced great provision, miracles, signs and wonders.

31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. –Matthew 6:31-33 NIV
