You Never Did

I was lost in the woods, so I followed your track

But it led me nowhere.

I was downhearted, so I looked for a shoulder to lean on

But you never showed up.

I was desperately looking for light, so I held your hand

But you pushed me to darkness.

I thought you genuinely care, so I gave you my heart

But you tore it into pieces.

You told me you love me, so held on to your word

But, baby, you never did.
